Service Description

Does your teen spend all of their time glued to their phone? This session hopes to introduce the issues that arise from overuse of technology, why teens engage so much with social media and how to help them to manage this. Let's work together to help our teens to manage their world! Emily is an occupational therapist with a decade worth of experience. She completed her postgraduate studies in child and adolescent mental health. She has spent most of her career working within the child, adolescent, family and youth (CAFYS) service within the public health system. Emily is aware of the huge gap in mental health support available to New Zealand's youth and families, and wants to be able to offer more accessible and accurate support and information to all. Join Emily on her series of informative seminars which explore a variety of mental health concerns for parents and young people alike. Attend them all or just pick and choose from which apply to you and your whanau.
